Psychotherapy & Counselling
ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS-Individuals and Couples! I work collaboratively with my clients to help them through depression, anxiety, stress, low self esteem, OCD, trauma, historical physical and sexual abuse, and many other challenges you may be facing.
Self esteem and empowerment are driving forces that I will help you with to live a more fulfilled life. I provide a safe space to explore your emotions, past present and future experiences, while challenging you in a supportive manner in order to guide you to your ultimate goals.
I don't believe finances should be a barrier to you receiving help and will work with you to make counselling accessible. I offer flexible appointments, with some evening appointments available as well as online or phone counselling.

How Do I Work?
I work with the client and their needs. I will go outside the box and challenge clients to think about things in a new way. This requires trust and rapport and I feel privileged to be a part of my client's journey and provide a safe space, where they feel comfortable and they can be themselves. I value the uniqueness of each client and I will use a variety of modalities to suit the individual needs.
I invite you to contact me to explore your needs, so we can create a plan that works for you. Clients can be referred or can self-refer. I start with a free phone consultation so I can get a little background information and so you can ask questions. Then, if you choose to proceed, we can book your first session.
Services may be reimbursable through extended health plans, but please ask your particular insurer, to verify coverage. I provide receipts from Stacey Kirkpatrick for Psychotherapy.
Here are questions you may wish to ask your insurance.
1-Do you need a referral from a doctor? (If yes, a note from your doctor referring you to Stacey Kirkpatrick, Psychotherapy should suffice, but ask the insurance exactly what they need)
2-Do they cover Psychotherapy? (I am not supervised by a psychologist and this is no longer allowed by the College for psychologists)
3-Is there a per session maximum that they will cover?
4-What % of the fee will they cover?
5-What is the maximum per year for coverage?
My full rate is $150/session but I have a sliding scale that is not dependent on your income/insurance coverage, but rather on what you can afford. If your financial situation changes at any time, please feel free to discuss this option with me. I want people to be able to continue services based on their needs and not just based on their ability to pay.
I send an invoice after the session and you can provide an e-transfer. I also accept cheque, cash or credit card at the session. Receipts will be provided by email after payment is processed
